Technology Head

Jason Liao

Welcome to the 19th annual conference of Taiwan Model United Nations. I’m Jason Liao, a senior at the American School in Taichung, and I will be serving as the Head of the Technology team for TAIMUN XVIII.

This year, the technology team hopes to ameliorate aspects of the conference regarding technology. Thus, we spent several months redesigning the interface of the official website not only to attach additional information but also to make it more appealing to viewers. While our team was designing the website, we confronted multiple editing obstacles as we’re not familiar with the tools and applications. However, we worked as a team and complemented each other to overcome those challenges.

The technology team will be in charge of maintaining the facilities and addressing technical issues during the conference. Last but not least, I look forward to meeting you at the conference!

Sincerely,

Jason Liao

Head of the Technology Team

TAIMUN XIX

Welcome to TAIMUN XIX. I am Max Shih, a sophomore at the American School in Taichung. This year, I am honored to be the deputy of the TAIMUN Technology Team. TAIMUN is the first MUN conference in Taiwan. During these 19 years, we have successfully impressed participants with our conference qualities and elated debates. However, those can not be accomplished without the collaboration of different teams in TAIMUN.

For the tech team, we have missions from before the event, during the event, and after the event. This year, we decided to replace the old website with a new one in order to attract more participants and become more voguish. After publishing it, we found several layout errors and missing information. Hence, we are still editing it after publishing it. Nevertheless, to design and improve a website with the team and finishing it enables me to find interest in a new area that I wouldn’t have contacted before. As a result, during the conference, the tech team will maintain the excitement to solve any technical problems and make the conference special to you. Last but not least, postevent works are important because we need to upload documents and images which might serve as valuable references in the future.

Hope all participants enjoy TAIMUN XIX !

Sincerely,

Max Shih
