General Assembly 2 (ECOFIN)
Head Chair
Iris Yeh

Hi everyone, my name is Iris Yeh, and I am currently a senior at Hong Wen International School. It is my honor to serve as your Head Chair for this year’s General Assembly 2.
Allow me to begin with a quote: “Medicine, law, business, engineering—these are all noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But MUN is what we stay alive for.” (reference from the Dead Poets Society.) While slightly modified, I believe anyone who has experienced intense debate or a meaningful conference will understand the sentiment.
Model United Nations has been at the heart of my high school journey. Over the past three years, I have witnessed the transformative power of MUN: it has shaped me from a shy, stuttering delegate into a confident and outgoing chair. I hope that one day, delegates I’ve chaired will share such an experience.
With a deep passion for MUN, I hope that each of you will walk away with your own moment of clarity, growth, and inspiration. As Horace famously wrote: Carpe Diem! Seize this opportunity; participate fully, debate meaningfully, and make this experience unforgettable.
Outside of MUN, I enjoy Ultimate Frisbee, baking, and running.
I look forward to seeing you all in committee.
Deputy Chair
Felix Yu
Hello delegates! My name is Felix Yu, a sophomore at the International Bilingual School at Hsinchu Science Park, and I am more than honored to serve as your deputy chair for GA2 at TAIMUN!
I first joined MUN as a delegate in APQ, and over the years, I’ve developed a passion for MUN’s thorough procedures and aggressive debates. Despite speaking little at first, I soon realized how a well organized committee with outstanding delegates created a fun and interactive environment for all to contribute, and it stuns me to see how students can solve concerning issues around the world much better than many adults can.
TAIMUN marks my 8th conference in MUN, and I would once again like to state how much it has helped me with speech writing, impromptu speaking, and developing my worldview. As a result, I hope that this conference will do the same for you as MUN did for me!
Besides MUN, I also enjoy listening and making music. I’m also interested in coding and biotechnology. Lastly, I love animals, and I have a dog and a cat! Delegates, feel free to reach out to my IG (felixyu__15) or my email (541034@ibsh.tw) if you have any questions on the topic! I look forward to seeing you all debate in March!
